This quest may point you to a word wall that you have already visited, in which case your quest marker will lead you to a word wall with chanting and sound effects as though there were a word to learn on it, however none of the words will be highlighted. This issue has been addressed by version 2.1.1 of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch the quest will no longer be triggered by shouting in uninhabited locations and specifically, only habitations/dwellings/military encampments will trigger it. The bug below may occur if the shout is used in the dungeon before finding the word wall in that same dungeon. Oddly, it can possibly even direct you to the same dungeon where you used the shout. This quest can be triggered while shouting in a dungeon, not only in a settlement. Both quests can even point you to the same word wall as the other. This quest can be repeated multiple times, and can also be active simultaneously with the other quest to locate word walls, The Words of Power. When the Dragonborn locates a Word Wall, they have the ability to read the ancient carvings. Not only did they mark burial grounds, but existed to teach a Word of Power to those with the ability to learn. Traveling to the location and learning the Word of Power from the wall completes the quest. During the events of Skyrim, the true power of the Word Walls is revealed. I have also tried waiting, reloading the game and using shouts against the wall. I have tried unteaching me the shout (and then the last word) but still the wall doesn't provide me the word. I do so and the problem persists, so the quest (finding all shout walls) does not advance. No Word Wall locations become inaccessible without the Greybeards' help.
